About Us
Sloan’s Village is a 250-acre farm near Bothwell, Ontario, approximately 30 km east of Chatham. The farm is owned and operated by John and Sheila Sloan and their family who have preserved the forest and farmed Christmas trees on the surrounding farmland since 1950.
Though the farm is currently being used to grow Christmas trees for wholesale and retail purposes, its retail operation is what it is widely known for. Over 4000 families come annually to cut their own tree and enjoy more than a dozen activities, such as campfires, a mini train, mazes, pony and wagon rides, cookie decorating and more. The village and u-cut has been operating on its current site since 1989.
In addition to Christmas tree production, Sloan’s Village offers unique educational field trips for school-age children that involves a blend of farming, forestry and fun activities. We offer an interesting, educational and interactive experience that helps students gain a greater understanding of and appreciation for nature, forestry conservation and outdoor activity. (See our school tour page).
The farm is also available to companies or groups looking for a unique family-oriented place to bring their staff and families. We provide a wide range of activities for families to enjoy during the Christmas season. (See our corporate party page.)
For our wholesale buyers, we provide an excellent selection of firs and spruce trees at very competitive prices. (See our wholesale buyer page.)
